Act 079 Ammends
HRS 464-1
Hawaii Land Surveyors Definition Signed Into Law

After years of discussion and hard work by HLSA along with feedback and input from the surveying community, on April 26, 2012 Senate Bill 2167 became Act 079 and was signed by Governor Neil Abercombie and officially became law. Act 079 ammends the Hawaii Revised Statues 464-1 "Definition of a Land Surveyor" and brings better clarification as to what surveying activities are considered to be "Licensed Activities" that require a licensed professional land surveyor in the State of Hawaii.
